Inpatient Mental Health Treatment in Ohio

This page was medically reviewed for accuracy by Alexis LeFevre-Casby, NP, an addiction and mental health specialist and family nurse practitioner at Ohio Addiction Recovery Center.

At Ohio Addiction Recovery Center, we don’t just treat addiction. Our inpatient mental health center offers extended stabilization and treatment for various mental health disorders, even if you don’t have a substance use disorder. Whether you or a loved one are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, or another mental health condition, our residential program fosters healing through a fully integrated approach.

Most mental health rehabs in Ohio simply offer crisis intervention and stabilization services. These programs are often only 72 hours in length. Though these are effective for emergencies, they can fall short of effective medication management and crisis recurrence. Our program offers a long-term option with 30 days or more designed to prevent crisis recurrence and enable a more independent lifestyle.

Do you have any questions?

Is Inpatient Mental Health Rehab Right For Me?

OARC is not an emergency crisis center, so our program is not a fit if you or a loved one are an immediate threat to themselves or others. In these cases, you should call 911, as it is considered a psychiatric emergency.

However, we do offer extended care following a crisis. Our program often acts as a stabilization extension – giving clients 30 days or longer to continue medication management while developing life skills, coping skills, and more.

Our program is also geared toward individuals who struggle to maintain treatment, such as difficulty with medications or persisting symptoms. Some individuals may just have difficulty maintaining employment or housing due to their mental health.

To understand if you or a loved one would be a fit for inpatient mental health rehab at OARC, you can consider the following questions:

  • Do you continue to struggle after psychiatric crisis treatment?
  • Are your medications not working? Or do they cause too many side effects?
  • Do you struggle to maintain your mental health treatment plans?
  • Do you struggle to maintain employment or housing due to mental health?
  • Do you struggle to cope with mental health symptoms?
  • Do you think you would benefit from therapy?
  • Do you struggle with trauma that is affecting your day-to-day life?
  • Is your mental health negatively affecting your relationships?

This is not an exhaustive list, but if you answered “yes” to any of these questions, the inpatient mental health program at OARC may be a fit for you.
