What Is Allied Benefits?

Allied is a third-party administrator (TPA) that partners with employers to provide sponsored health insurance solutions. Unlike traditional insurance carriers that sell standardized policies, Allied works with employers to customize health plans that balance flexibility, cost management, and access to care.

Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Chicago, Allied now serves over 1.4 million members across the United States. Their plans cover a wide range of medical services, including behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment. By focusing on personalized plan design, Allied helps employers offer meaningful health coverage while controlling costs.

For individuals and families, this means that Allied Benefits can often provide access to specialized services such as detox programs, inpatient rehab, outpatient treatment, and dual diagnosis care at centers like Ohio Addiction Recovery Center. While coverage specifics depend on the employer-sponsored plan, Allied is recognized for its broad provider networks and focus on supporting members’ health and recovery.

Rehab Services and Programs Covered by Allied Benefits

Many Allied benefit plans provide coverage for substance use disorder treatment, although the level of support depends on the individual employer-sponsored policy. Covered services often include detox, residential treatment, outpatient care, dual diagnosis programs, and aftercare support. At our facility, we work with Allied to confirm eligibility and ensure patients can access the right level of care.

Medical Detox

Medical detox is often the beginning step toward recovery and provides a safe setting for individuals to manage withdrawal. At our center, patients are monitored around the clock to ensure safety and comfort. Allied rehab benefits may include detox coverage, making this essential phase of treatment accessible to more individuals.

Residential Rehab

Inpatient rehab offers structured, 24-hour care for those who need immersive support. This program includes daily therapy, group counseling, and holistic services to promote lasting healing. Allied rehab coverage often extends to residential care, reducing financial barriers for patients and families.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient care provides flexibility for individuals who cannot commit to full-time residential treatment. Options such as Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) combine therapy with the ability to continue work or family responsibilities. Many of the Allied plans cover these services, allowing patients to remain engaged in recovery while maintaining daily life.

Dual Diagnosis Care

Many people struggling with addiction also face mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or trauma. Our dual diagnosis program treats both conditions together, which is critical for long-term stability. Allied often supports this type of integrated care, ensuring patients do not need to choose between mental health and addiction treatment.

Aftercare and Alumni Support

Recovery is a lifelong process that requires ongoing support. Our center provides relapse prevention planning, continued counseling, and a strong alumni network to help patients maintain progress after treatment ends. Allied coverage may extend to elements of aftercare, giving individuals continued access to resources that support sobriety.

This process is quick, confidential, and usually completed the same day. By handling insurance verification on your behalf, we ensure that you begin treatment with clarity and confidence.

  • It was a lot nicer than what I expected. Clean and comfortable. The staff were all great. Good medical support. The tech staff all showed real care and compassion. … read more The counselors were great and we had a full schedule for education. Case workers kept my stress and worries outside down to a minimum. A lot of activities and space to relax with entertainment. There is a small gym and room for arts and crafts. There was a great culture among the clients.

  • This place saved my life. The staff(Nurses, Techs, Admissions and Clinical) were all very supportive and available. From the moment I walked in to my discharge day, … read more i felt welcome. I have tried to get sober before and everything I have tried failed. OARC gave me all the necessary tools to build a life based in recovery. They bring 12 step meetings in daily to get your feet wet and build the foundations of a sober support network. I got very close to some of the other clients and have built strong friendships that I know will be lifelong as long I stay sober. The groups we had helped me learn a lot about my alcoholism. They covered everything from grief to cognitive behavioral therapy and everything in between. After the inpatient program, they have PHP, outpatient and even a sober living available for a longterm route. The only critique I have is the food. While it wasn't the best, it was still better than what I was eating before. If you value your life and are sick and tired of being sick and tired then I strongly urge you to give OARC a call, you're worth it.
